Earlier this month we created space to hand the mics over to four incredible moms from The Magnolia Mothers Trust so we could collectively pause, listen, and give our full attention to their stories. At Springboard we believe that we can strategically change the narrative on poverty by changing the narrator. For five years we’ve been doing just that and this night of storytelling gave us all another chance to see these mothers show up in their full brilliance. A special thanks to Dr. Tressie McMillan Cottom for being with us and sharing community with us here in Jackson, MS.
